In the afternoon, visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature), which dates back to 1070 and is dedicated to the cult of Confucius. Next, stop at the train street hidden among the busy streets of Hanoi Old Quarter lies an exclusive street offering an incredibly surreal experience. Continue into the Old Quarter, where your walk begins through a maze of crisscrossing streets. Here, you’ll experience Hanoi life at its most authentic—vibrant trading scenes spilling onto the sidewalks, colorful wet markets buzzing with activity, and tucked-away corners where locals linger for hours over rich coffee and unhurried conversation.
